Accipiter Cooperii
Saw this beautiful hawk searching for prey during my hike. It was incredibly agile, circling low in broad loops then suddenly diving into the grass, only to return to the air empty-taloned. It went over the ridge after about five minutes, I assume to find more fruitful hunting grounds.
