My daughters wanted to see mountains, so we made last minute plans to find some.
Hiked up the Big Sur River from Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park into Ventana Wilderness. It was 5 miles to our camp where some clever hiker had carved a chess board into a large fallen log. The girls scoured the Big Sur riverbed for white and black stones to play a couple games.
The fall weather under the redwoods and sycamores was 🍂🍁🌲☺️
