Some shots taken from the Oban waterfront and on our boat trip around the Isle of Mull.
 Black Guillemot on Oban waterfront
Black Guillemot – such a beautiful bird
A Black Guillemot colony nests in the sea wall of Oban. This one was waiting on lunch to be delivered from the safety of the nest, but, from the look of it, was nearly an adult ready to fend for itself.
Shag – this bird is similar to a cormorant. They dive in the oceans for fish, but, due to their lack of waterproofing, must dry themselves in the sun after a fishing expedition, which is what this one is doing. Look closely to spot its striking green eyes.
Magnificent pair of rare white-tailed sea eagles, once extinct in Scotland. Though more common in Scandinavian countries, there are only around 40 pair of these eagles in Scotland. Amazing to see them in the wild!
Another shot of white-tailed sea eagles — can you spot them both? One on the rock cairn and another (blurry) on the top of the hill)
Seal colony looking like they need their morning coffee
Rubha nan Gall lighthouse, designed by Robert Luis Stevenson’s father
Eilean Musdile lighthouse, designed by Robert Luis Stevenson’s grandfather
