The old radar installation at the top of Mount Umunhum lost its enormous radar dish decades ago. From a distance the concrete cube is as inscrutable as a Borg ship. Even though a road is now open to drive up the mountain and park near the cube, hikers like myself are drawn to the trail to make the pilgrimage up into the heights to see it up close.
