One of the highlights from last weekend’s drive up to Carson Pass was my stop at Caples Lake Reservoir for a Smashburger cooked on an outdoor grill.
That burger tasted amazing at 7,800 feet, looking out over the water onto Elephants Back and Round Top mountains.
